MAISTO – CHRYSLER – CROSSFIRE COUPE 2005-31140

From the 1990s Chrysler specialized in the not easy art of turning concept cars into production cars. This was also the case with the Crossfire, developed in just 24 months after the concept appeared at the 2002 Los Angeles show. The car was based on the platform of the Mercedes SLK and took about 40 percent of the parts. The first fruit of the alliance between Daimler and Chrysler, the Crossfire presented itself as a small coupé (also roadster) with European lines. The engine was a 3.2-liter V6 with power ranging from 215 to 330 horsepower. Comfortable and pleasant to drive, the Crossfire lacked sportiness and was soon neglected by enthusiasts.
